They Sell Cigarettes, Don't They?
Kim Klaver relates, "At dinner last night with two nutritionists. One of them, Beth, related this story:
"I was having lunch with a friend, who I thought knew about healthy foods. Anyway, she orders coffee and reaches for the NutraSweet. I almost scream, but instead, I ask her:
'Lilly, did you know that's poison? The Aspartame in it is a sugar substitute that's poisonous and addictive...it's the same stuff that's in diet sodas...'
She looked shocked.
'But they wouldn't let people sell things as bad as that, would they?'
'They let the tobacco companies sell cigarettes, don't they?'
She put it back.
We all hope that "they" wouldn't let people do bad things. But "they" do because "they" are often the ones who benefit. And we, well, we're all just too busy to look into everything. We need to give our trust because we all try to do too much.
Most of us are just as unsuspecting and trusting in network marketing. We hope they're telling us right, because well, it's the company or the big successful upline, right? What do we know?
But who benefits by keeping things the way they are? You? Or them?
They still sell cigarettes, don't they?"
